Top 5 Project Settings to Boost FPS in Unreal Engine 5.4 for Low-End PCs

If you are working on a budget setup like a Ryzen 5 5500U, these settings are life-savers. Before downloading my optimized packs, make sure you apply these:

  1. Disable Virtual Shadow Maps: Switch to 'Shadow Maps' in Project Settings. It saves massive GPU memory.

  2. Lower Screen Percentage: Set it to 75% for a huge FPS boost without losing much clarity.

  3. Lumen Quality: Set Lumen Reflection quality to 0.5.

  4. Disable Heavy Plugins: Turn off plugins you don't use (like Virtual Heightfield Mesh) to save RAM.

  5. Global Illumination: Use 'Screen Space' instead of Lumen if you are on integrated graphics.
